Christmas weekend

Hi everyone, 

so I had another weekend off. As you probably noticed, I didn´t go anywhere faraway. Because weather was beautiful, temperature around 17°C, I decided spend time in Christmas City. I went with my friend Taryn. We went to explore Christmas City during the day and night. 

 
We got to the City around noon. According to Google Maps your tour should take 1 hour, but you know ... stop here and there, sometimes we were stucked in a crowd, etc. and from one hour happened hours 6. 

When we got to the City, we took subway from Grand Central to China Town. Some sellers surrounded us right at the subway entrance. They forced us some fake handbags, wallets, watches etc. "Prada, Gucci, Rolex?" Oh the horror! After we got rid of them, we headed to the nearby Little Italy. A magical place with a lot of restaurants, quiant shops and beautiful Christmas decorations. 

After surveying the Christmas trade and Little Italy we moved to Union Square, where is the NYC´s biggest Christmas markets. So many people and cute little wooden houses, reminded me Pragues´s markets. 

City was really overcrowded. It´s Saturday, before Christmas, but when you add 1 000 000 Satan Clauses and Elves to this ... It was really massacre! Why Santas and Elves? SANTACON was at the City. The largest Santa and Elf festival. People were dressed up in costumes and walked from one bar to another. It was crazy ... you could see 500 Santas infrot some bars :D 

Macy´s was the nest stop. We visited Santas´s post office at the Christmas floor and sent our wishes. Hope someone will come true. :-) 

               

We saw Christmas show at Saks building on 5th Ave. I have to admit that it was much better than last year. Very nice ... what do you think? 

               

And at the end we finally got though crowds to Christmas tree at the Rockeffler Center. 

                

         

So many people everywhere, you almost couldn´t breathe. Honestly, I was little scared ... what if something happens? Well, fortunatelly nothing happened, so I got home at 6:30ish. 

It took less than 2 hours and I was back in the City :D My and Taryn´s friend Lucas took us to one bar in Brooklyn. Later we should move to concert, but we changed our plan and went to Manhattan. We met another friends there and partied till morning :D

On Sunday evening, I accepted my host family invitation for dinner to our grandma´s beach club. It was Christmas party with fancy dinner, Santa, Elf and Frosty. Children got presents from Santa and everyone nice supper :-)
