Hello everyone!
A year has passed and I celebrated Thanksgiving for the second time. This year "celebration" was far greater than last year celebration, but let's take it all gradually...
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving home again. Since this is one of the largest American familyś holiday, Courtney invited almost all family from NY. In addition to the five of us (me, Courtney, Steve Logan and Avery), there was grandmother Gaga, grandmother Nenna, grandfather Harold, cousins, aunt and uncle and aunt's family. Well, finally almost 20 people :-)
Preparations began on Wednesday when I bake dessert - a luxury chocolate cake.
Since Thursday´s early morning we were all on our legs. I was in the kitchen with Courtney and Steve was watching the Thanksgiving Parade with children. First we prepared stuffing for the turkey and when it was done, it went into the oven with the turkey. This year we did own turkey - the first time in our lifes! So we all prayed that it go well ... During the time we baked the turkey (it was in the oven for about 5 hours) we were making side dishes.
Well ... what do you think? We did a great job!
Around 3 o´clock arrived grandma Nenna with another turkey and lots of food and Grandma Gaga with her excellent mashed potatoes with marshmallows. Gradually we all warmed and put on the table. Look how it looked...
Once the last stragglers arrived we started to serve the dinner. They ate, drank, enjoyed it. Everyone enjoyed this special moment. Although someones were cleaning dishes all night : D
Wow, what a goodies :-) But there was so much food so now we have enoght left. Once we cleaned up after the dinner, we served our dessert, thus sorry- desserts! But I'll tell you, mine was just the best. Ha-Ha! Not really ... everyone's saying ;-)
And that´s all for today. Bye - bye!
